Yenga Pona Rasa

First of all, this is one of my favorite songs of 2013. The song itself to revisit is here:

Amazing composition by ARR and we are actually privileged to see the recording session of the song in the following 20 minute video.

Now I added some basic beats to the song in the following upload (my first one yay!). When you add beats you can actually recognize the tempo changes in the song much easier. The tempo change between different parts of the song (one at 1:42 and one at 2:30) makes this song a little difficult to play beats to. Guitar seamlessly transitions and when you layover beats you have got to keep in mind the two time signatures near the transition point.

Beginning of the beginning

Starting from simplistic down tempo to the most complicated progressive metal bands, I listen to it all. I learnt an Indian classical music percussion instrument called 'Mridangam' for about 8 years but lost all interest in it as I grew up. Now I am starting to play the 'Cajon' which is also a hand based percussion instrument. In this blog I am going to be writing about my take on the various songs among various genres that could just be a re-edit or a remix of the song. I am calling this project 'yellowHood' - a reference to my very popular bright yellow hoodie ;)

Software:
I am using GoldWave for recording and post processing of the audio file.
